Chamber Secretary
The department's key objective is to ensure the provision to Council, Committees, Councillors, Department and Council's publics with secretarial, legal advice, valuation and civic protection services in an effective, efficient, courteous and transparent manner, pursuant to the provisions of the Urban Councils' Act Chapter 29:15 the statute that creates the Chamber Secretary's Office.
Section 137 of the Act imposes the following functions upon the Chamber Secretary: -

Health Services Department
The health Services Department is committed to maintaining and promoting a health environment and provides accessible and affordable health services of high quality to residents of Bulawayo.
This is being achieved through:
The Health Services Department has two branches, the Environment Health Branch and the Personal Health Branch. The administration section facilitates functioning of the branches by providing various support services and expertise in financial and human resources management. Housing and Community Services' department is charged with the responsibilities of Providing adequate, decent, qualitative and affordable housing and related support social infrastruture in the city with full participation of stakeholders. Efficient, effective administration and management off the built environment to ensure a secure, safe and aesthetic city environs. Human Resources Department
Headed by the Human Resources Manager, the section's main goals are to promote and manage harmonious industrial relations within Council, to procure quality staff as required by client departments and place jobs to their correct levels in the Council's grading scheme. The Section ensures that employees adhere to the Council's Conditions of Service and spells out the Code of Conduct for employees and those internal disciplinary cases are finalized timeously..Read more
